TeamViewer Renewed My Remote Access License Without Consent
A year ago, we purchased a TeamViewer Remote Access license for our company. Since we no longer needed it, we stopped using it. Our subscription was set to end on 27.03.2024, but TeamViewer renewed it without our consent and issued an invoice.
When we contacted them, they claimed it’s their policy to automatically renew licenses and refused to cancel the invoice. This practice is unacceptable for a company claiming to be professional. Customers should be notified and given the option to renew or cancel, not billed without their approval.
Using contract clauses as justification for this behavior is unreasonable—no one can realistically read through pages of terms. TeamViewer must cancel this invoice and update their policies to respect customer consent.
