On April 2, 2026, while returning from a business trip, I purchased a caramel macchiato and a latte from the Starbucks branch located near Gate 106 in the domestic departures area of Esenboğa Airport.
Since that day, both my colleague and I have been experiencing severe diarrhea, vomiting, headaches, and fatigue. The only thing we both consumed in common that day was the Starbucks coffee, and these symptoms have significantly affected our well-being.
Shortly after the incident, I visited a healthcare provider. The doctor stated that something I ate or drank may have caused this reaction. The symptoms began approximately 4–5 hours after consuming the drinks, which raises serious concerns about the hygiene and quality of the products we purchased.
Paying approximately $22 for two coffees and then experiencing such a situation is extremely disappointing, especially from a brand like Starbucks, where higher standards are expected.
We request that the freshness of the ingredients, storage conditions, and hygiene practices at the Esenboğa Airport Starbucks branch be thoroughly investigated. If necessary, staff and product inspections should be carried out, and we expect a clear and detailed explanation to be provided to us.
Additionally, considering the health issues and inconvenience we have experienced, we request appropriate compensation for this situation.
