On December 13, 2025, I purchased airline tickets through Trip.com for Southwind Airlines flights 2S085 from Istanbul to Moscow and 2S086 from Moscow to Istanbul for a total amount of $298. On December 20, 2025, I received an email stating that my return flight had been canceled, which completely disrupted my travel plans. As a result, on December 22, 2025, I was forced to purchase a new return ticket from a different airline in order to complete my trip. After purchasing the new ticket, I received another email from Trip.com on December 23, 2025, stating that the previously canceled flight had been rescheduled. While the originally canceled return flight had first been planned for January 5, 2026 at 11:30 PM, the revised flight was later scheduled for January 6, 2026 at 2:00 AM. This approximately 2.5-hour time shift was made only after I had already been informed of the cancellation and had purchased an alternative ticket, effectively rendering the rescheduled flight unusable for me. On the same day, December 23, 2025, I submitted a cancellation and refund request through Trip.com for this ticket. However, despite my request being reviewed under reservation number 1638317950391967, it was rejected on the grounds of “company policy.” Although I received two phone calls from the United Kingdom regarding this issue, no concrete solution was offered, and the matter was repeatedly dismissed by citing company policies. The hardship I experienced arose entirely due to the cancellation notice sent by Trip.com and the subsequent schedule change. Despite having no fault whatsoever and being forced to purchase a new ticket, the refusal to refund the original ticket price is unacceptable. I am requesting that my grievance be resolved and that the full ticket amount of $298 paid through Trip.com be refunded to me in full.
