Subaru XV Electrical Issues Cause Ghost Interior Lights and Battery Drains

I own a 2022 Subaru XV. About a week ago, I found both front windows (right and left) of my parked car completely open. When I reviewed my home security camera footage, I clearly saw the front windows roll down all by themselves while the vehicle was parked. I have the video security footage of this incident and can share it upon request. This incident caused me serious security concerns, as I worry the vehicle could exhibit unexpected electrical behavior at any moment.

In fact, the problems started earlier—around 2024, if I recall correctly—after I drove through a large puddle on a very rainy day. The interior lights started turning on by themselves, which drained the battery twice while the car was still under warranty, forcing us to jump-start it. In particular, the reading light next to the driver's seat turns on automatically from time to time, and I am certain I did not turn it on manually. Sometimes it doesn't happen for weeks, but other times it turns on at night every few days, and I only notice when neighbors alert me. This has become psychologically exhausting, constantly forcing me to double-check the car.

During this period, I visited the Bursa Arkas authorized service center after the hood-open warning light came on. They fixed the hood sensor, but when I mentioned the interior lights turning on automatically, they dismissed it, saying that was impossible and suggesting, "You must be turning them on by mistake." When the same warning light triggered again later, I went back to the dealership; this time, they claimed there was nothing wrong with the hood latch and suggested my foot might have hit something to trigger the warning. Although I mentioned the phantom interior lights during both service visits, I doubt they even logged the issue in the system. Feeling like my complaints were dismissed simply because I am a female driver hurts me deeply.

Now, this incident with the windows rolling down on their own leads me to believe that what was previously ignored might be a chronic electrical or ECU system fault. I have grown completely disillusioned with a car I once loved. I have been driving for nearly 30 years, and dealing with such issues and struggling to be heard by a brand like this has left me disappointed and angry. Now, every time I park my car, I feel compelled to check over and over if the lights or windows are open, experiencing severe anxiety—especially during rainy weather.

My expectation from Subaru Turkey is a thorough inspection of my vehicle—especially its electrical and computer systems—to clearly identify the root cause of this recurring issue and fix it under warranty or goodwill without any cost to me. I am not posting my VIN here for privacy reasons, but I can share it with the relevant department upon request. I want to be confident in my car's safety and put an end to the anxiety, frustration, and feeling of being ignored that I have endured.
