COS Refuses Refund After Brand New Grey Pants Tear On First Wear

At the beginning of summer, I bought a pair of grey pants from COS. I wore the pants only once, and after about four hours of routine wear, the fabric began tearing and unraveling. For the pants to end up in this condition after such a short time and on the very first wear made me believe there is a serious issue with the product's quality.

When I reported the situation to the store, staff told me they had never received such a complaint before and suggested the problem was my fault. They refused to help with an exchange or return for the defective item, claiming I might have crossed my legs, made an awkward movement, or that the pants were too tight. Having the responsibility placed entirely on me despite the obvious fabric defect left me extremely disappointed.

I request that these pants, which tore and unraveled on the very first wear, be inspected and classified as defective. If there is a manufacturing or fabric defect, I demand an exchange or a full refund.
