On February 11, I paid in full for a car rental through the Yolcu360 app, booking a vehicle from Sixt Rent A Car for pickup at Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) on February 12 at 11:00 AM after my flight from Malatya. Upon arrival at the Sixt SAW office, the staff (a male and a female employee) took my documents for review. I then noticed them whispering to each other before the female employee returned and falsely claimed that my Findeks risk report was insufficient.
I was shocked and outraged—I have been renting cars for nearly five years without any issues. Sixt’s staff not only fabricated an excuse to deny my reservation but also displayed a disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. This completely ruined my business and travel plans.
However, knowing my financial credibility, I immediately visited Avis, Budget, and Ziraat Filo—all just meters away from Sixt’s office. To prove their claim false, I had them check my risk report, and Budget had no issue renting me a car on the spot. This raises a serious question: Does Sixt arbitrarily apply Findeks risk reports based on their own discretion, or is this a deliberate strategy?
I demand an immediate refund of the full amount charged for the reservation, including any pre-authorization or deposit fees. The mismanagement and discriminatory practices of Sixt at Turkey’s major airports must be addressed. I call on relevant authorities to take action against such unfair and deceptive business practices. Sixt, refund my money now!
