Sixt Charged Deposit in Bosnia and Still Hasn’t Refunded Me After Return

I rented a car from Sixt Rent a Car in Bosnia and Herzegovina between May 22 and May 26. At the time of rental, they took a €700 deposit, and I was clearly told that it would be refunded on the same day I returned the vehicle. I returned the car as scheduled with no issues, yet the deposit has still not been refunded to my account.

When I contacted them again, they suddenly claimed that the refund process could take up to one month, which was never mentioned at the time of rental. This delay is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of transparency. I don’t understand why such a simple transaction is taking so long when the car was returned in perfect condition.

This experience has left me frustrated and distrustful. I demand that Sixt process my refund immediately and clearly explain why this delay occurred. Based on this experience, I will not be using Sixt again for any future rentals and urge others to be cautious, especially when renting abroad.
