Dyson V16 Piston Animal Warranty Claim – Replacement Dustbin Still Not Delivered

1

The dustbin on my Dyson V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum cleaner broke at the connection point where it attaches to the other accessories. Since the product is still under warranty, I contacted customer service. We had a video call through a link they sent me via WhatsApp, during which their representatives inspected the issue in detail and documented everything. At the end of the call, I was assured that a replacement dustbin would be sent to me free of charge. An order was immediately placed, and I even received an invoice showing a zero balance. In other words, the replacement process was officially initiated during that very call. This conversation took place on October 9, 2026.

Three days later, the replacement part arrived, but Dyson had sent me the wrong product! I contacted customer service again on October 12. Once again, we had a video call, another replacement order was placed, and another invoice was sent to me. On top of that, I was asked to return the incorrectly delivered item by courier.

After several more days passed without any progress, I called customer service again, only to be told that the part was out of stock. They suggested that I could send the vacuum cleaner to an authorized service center but admitted that they had no information about whether the service center actually had the part in stock either. In other words, they neither have the replacement part themselves nor know whether their service centers have it available. Despite this uncertainty, they kept insisting that I send the vacuum cleaner to a service center. From my perspective, it seems they are simply trying to restart the maximum 16-business-day service period on their own terms. As of November 4, the entire 16-business-day period had already expired.

Despite all this time passing, Dyson has neither sent me the replacement part nor provided any concrete solution. Because the dustbin is broken, I cannot use my vacuum cleaner effectively, and this problem is directly affecting my daily life.

The way Dyson is handling this situation is completely inconsistent with the promises made in its advertisements and promotional materials. I even visited the retailer where I originally purchased the product to explain the situation. Their representatives told me, "Believe us, everyone is complaining about the same issue, and we cannot find a solution either." Countless customers appear to be experiencing the same problem because the same component keeps breaking in exactly the same way. Meanwhile, a repair market specifically for Dyson products has practically emerged in the city where I live, to the point that local repair shops immediately ask, "Is it a Dyson?" when customers walk in.

This situation is neither reasonable nor ethical, and it certainly does not serve Dyson's commercial interests or reputation. I demand that Dyson complete the warranty replacement process without any further delays, urgently provide and ship the replacement dustbin, and resolve the inconvenience I have been experiencing. Otherwise, I will exercise all my legal rights to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Dyson already has copies of the invoices, text messages, links, and records of our conversations, and I have retained copies of all of them as well. I am prepared to provide this documentation upon request.
