I Rented a Car from Sixt Pristina and My ₺500 Euro Deposit Still Hasn’t Been Released
I rented a car from Sixt at Pristina Airport (Kosovo) from May 28 to June 1. As part of the rental process, a €500 deposit was blocked on my card. Now, it’s been 19 days since the return of the vehicle, and I’m still waiting for the deposit to be released. I followed up with the Sixt branch in Pristina, and they told me the funds were never actually withdrawn—just blocked—and that they have already lifted the hold.
However, when I contacted Ziraat Bank, they said they haven’t received any reversal or release notification from Sixt. So I’m stuck in limbo—€500 of my funds unavailable, with neither side helping resolve the situation.
This amount isn’t small, and it’s extremely frustrating to be left hanging after nearly three weeks. I expect Sixt to provide immediate documentation or confirmation to my bank to get this resolved. I am requesting your urgent attention to return my blocked funds. Don't leave your customers financially stranded after their trip.
