I purchased my Samsung 65Q80BA TV on August 22, 2022, and just recently, on September 5, 2025, the screen failed completely. When I turned it on, there was sound but no picture. A Samsung service technician inspected it and explained that the LED panel had burned out and the mainboard also needed replacement. The total repair cost was quoted at an incredible ₺36,800.
I contacted the Samsung Solution Center (444 7 711) to explain my situation, but I was told that since three years had passed, there was nothing they could do. I find this unacceptable. If I agree to the repair, what guarantee is there that the replacement parts will last longer than the original panel, which only survived three years?
I have other Samsung TVs in my home — one 10 years old and another 12 years old — that still function perfectly. Yet, one of the most expensive QLED models I purchased just three years ago has already failed, and the repair cost is nearly the price of a brand-new TV.
From my research and from checking consumer complaint platforms, I have seen that many other customers are experiencing the same screen and panel failures with Samsung QLED TVs. This suggests a chronic defect in these models.
As a long-time Samsung customer who has purchased phones, watches, and multiple TVs, I expect Samsung to take responsibility. The company should not charge nearly new-TV prices for a known defect. I demand that Samsung offer a fair solution, whether through a free panel replacement, a discounted repair, or a product replacement.
