Samsung UE60AU8000UXTK TV Screen Went Black After Only Three Years

52

I purchased my Samsung UE60AU8000UXTK model television from Samsung’s official website in November 2021 for approximately ₺14,000. Ten days ago, the screen completely lost its display. I chose Samsung expecting a long-lasting and high-quality product, but experiencing such a serious malfunction after only three to four years has been very disappointing. I contacted the authorized service center in my city for assistance, and they informed me that the issue was likely due to burnt-out LEDs and that the repair would be charged since the warranty period had expired. However, considering that TVs of similar size are sold at much lower prices in the market, I specifically chose Samsung for its reputation for durability and quality. Facing such a fault in a short time and being asked to pay a high repair fee has caused me inconvenience. I expect Samsung to prioritize customer satisfaction, repair my television free of charge, and stand behind the quality of its product. I request that my issue be resolved.

I started experiencing a complete loss of picture (blackout) on the screen of the AU8000 Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV I purchased from the Samsung website starting from early November 2025. This issue appeared only one year after the warranty expired. I chose this product because it was said to be durable and high-quality, but having it break down in such a short period of 3-4 years has been very disappointing for me. After the issue occurred, I contacted Samsung customer service. Each time, I was only offered a paid repair option. I repeatedly requested that the brand stand behind its product and provide a solution for a product that malfunctioned in such a short time. However, the customer representatives stated that since the warranty period had expired, only paid repair was possible and offered no other solution. Additionally, when I specifically asked the customer representative, 'Why should I choose the Samsung brand?' I did not receive any answer to this question either. At the time, the reason I chose Samsung instead of opting for other brands’ TVs at more affordable prices was my expectation of a long-lasting and high-quality product. However, this experience has completely shaken my trust in the brand. My invoice number: dra2021000263211. What I expect from Samsung is to provide support for my product that malfunctioned in such a short time, even if it is out of warranty, and to resolve my grievance.

Samsung, you advertise so much and claim quality, but you don't stand behind your product. If it's going to break down in such a short time, don't produce it so people don't waste their money. I ask the customer representative why I should choose Samsung, but they don't answer. I don't give my blessing for the money I spent.
