Samsonite Wallet Defective After 7 Months, Refund Inadequate
At the end of December 2024, my brother purchased a Samsonite wallet as a New Year’s gift, being a loyal customer of the brand. However, after only 7–8 months, the clasp on the wallet broke. In November, after returning from our summer home, I brought it back to the store where it was purchased for inspection.
It took 1.5 months to receive a response, and the store informed me that I could either choose another wallet or receive a refund. Unfortunately, there were no suitable wallets available in-store, and given current inflation, the refund amount doesn’t cover the cost of a comparable-quality wallet—either from Samsonite or any other brand.
For an international brand with a strong reputation, this resolution is deeply disappointing. A wallet failing in such a short period and the brand’s inability to provide a proper solution reflects poorly on its customer service. I firmly request Samsonite take appropriate action to resolve my grievance and restore confidence in their brand.
