On November 16, 2024, my family and I purchased three suitcases from the Samsonite store at Vadi İstanbul Mall. Today, November 30, 2024, I attempted to return the suitcase I purchased for myself. However, the store refused to accept the return, claiming their company policy only allows returns within 5 days. This contradicts Turkey’s consumer protection laws, which clearly grant a 14-day return period.
Their website even states a 14-day return policy for online purchases, yet the store insisted otherwise. When I persisted, demanding they honor the law, they claimed their system was down and could not process the return.
I am highly disappointed with Samsonite’s lack of adherence to legal consumer rights and their dismissive approach to resolving this issue. I will escalate this matter to the Consumer Court if my return is not promptly processed. Samsonite must respect customer rights and provide the service expected from such a reputable brand.
