Salomon Alpha Cross 5 Goretex Shoes Smell Bad After Light Use

I purchased the Salomon Alpha Cross 5 Goretex from the Salomon store on 21.10.2024. Despite using the shoes lightly, by 26.01.2025, they developed a strong, unpleasant odor that made them unbearable to wear. I sent them in for warranty inspection, expecting a solution, but my request was denied without any reasonable explanation.

For a premium-priced outdoor brand, this is unacceptable. Shoes designed for performance and durability should not have such issues in such a short time. Salomon’s refusal to address the issue shows a lack of responsibility toward customers. I am extremely disappointed and will be escalating my complaint to the necessary consumer protection authorities. Avoid Salomon if you expect quality and proper customer support.
