I Paid for Rain Air Tickets and Faced Surprise Extra Fees at the Airport
I purchased 3 tickets with Rain Air for a flight from Krakow to Podgorica, paying a total of ₺24,000. We chose a 20 kg checked baggage option, thinking everything was covered. However, when we arrived at the airport, we were unexpectedly charged an additional ₺8,500 just for check-in. Yes—just to check in for a flight we already paid for.
That wasn’t the end of it. At the gate, they claimed our cabin bags—despite fitting perfectly into their own measuring device—had to be placed in the aircraft hold. For that, they charged us another €8 per bag. But instead of €8, my card was charged a whopping ₺6,095. That’s nowhere near the correct exchange rate and feels downright exploitative.
