In October 2025, I purchased a 2 kg bag of Royal Canin Adult British Shorthair Health Nutrition cat food from Ambarlı Petshop for $43.00. The batch number of the product is S23601A.
Unfortunately, after feeding this product to my cat, she became seriously ill and was diagnosed with food poisoning by our veterinarian. Despite receiving treatment for a week, my cat passed away last night. We are deeply heartbroken by this loss.
After discovering that the food was moldy, I contacted both Royal Canin and Ambarlı Petshop immediately. The pet shop informed me that they sourced the food directly from the manufacturer and would “look into the matter,” but I have not received any response since then.
In addition, the seller has refused to provide an invoice or any purchase documentation, despite my repeated requests. I received no warranty card or official paperwork with the product, which raises serious concerns about product authenticity and storage conditions.
This is the first time I have ever experienced such a devastating incident. Therefore, I am formally requesting the following:
Full compensation for all veterinary treatment costs incurred.
A thorough investigation and official statement from both Royal Canin and Ambarlı Petshop regarding this product batch (S23601A).
Immediate inspection and tighter quality control measures to prevent similar tragedies from happening again.
I am sharing this not only to seek justice for my cat but also to help prevent other pet owners from suffering similar heartbreak due to negligent production, storage, or distribution of contaminated food.
Thank you for your attention and for taking this matter seriously.
