Unauthorized Renewal Charge by Open English – Refund Request

I originally purchased a 1-year General English membership from Open English for my son, A. A., out of respect for his education. However, on September 16, 2025, my credit card was charged ₺2,196.26 without my authorization, request, or any prior notification.
I never requested a renewal, nor was I informed in any way that my membership would be automatically extended. The fact that my credit card details were stored and reused without my consent is a serious violation of consumer rights and data protection laws.
When I contacted customer service, I was told that my membership would be canceled as of October but that the unauthorized payment would not be refunded. At the time of purchase, I was not presented with any contract, renewal agreement, or opt-in checkbox authorizing recurring charges.
I demand an immediate refund of the ₺2,196.26 that was unlawfully taken from my account, and confirmation that my membership will not be renewed automatically in the future. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate it through CİMER, the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti), and my bank for a chargeback procedure.
I expect urgent action and a clear resolution.
