I purchased Mustela Body Lotion to help with my baby’s dry skin, trusting the brand because it’s marketed as safe and gentle for infants. However, ever since I started applying it, my baby’s skin has gotten significantly worse. I noticed strange red patches and irritation right after use — and now, my baby’s entire body is covered in redness and discomfort.
What’s even more upsetting is how restless and fussy my baby has become since using this product. The lotion clearly didn’t moisturize or soothe anything — it caused a harsh reaction instead. I’m shocked this could happen with a product labeled specifically for babies.
Mustela, I expected better from a brand that promotes itself as baby-safe. If your lotion is triggering this kind of response, you need to reevaluate your ingredients and safety testing. Parents rely on your products for their little ones, and no baby should suffer because of a formula that was supposed to help. I demand that this issue be addressed urgently — a refund, a product review, and better transparency are the least you can do.
