I bought Mustela Body Lotion to help with my baby’s dry skin, assuming it would be gentle and safe since it’s labeled specifically for babies. But from the moment I started applying it, I noticed unusual red patches and irritation appearing all over my baby’s skin. Initially, our doctor thought it might be an allergic reaction to laundry detergent, so we switched brands — but the problem persisted.
Eventually, during a follow-up appointment, the pediatrician identified the Mustela lotion as the likely cause and advised me to stop using it immediately. By then, my baby’s body was already covered in redness, and they had become extremely restless and uncomfortable.
This experience has been heartbreaking. I trusted Mustela as a premium baby care brand, but instead of helping, the product caused visible harm. I feel incredibly let down, and I wouldn’t have expected this from a company that promotes itself as gentle and dermatologist-tested.
Mustela, you need to take accountability for this. How can a product meant for sensitive baby skin cause this much irritation? I’m calling on you to review this product’s safety, issue a refund, and provide transparent answers to concerned parents. We deserve better, and so do our babies.
