Miniso Denies Refund Claim Following Courier Pickup Failures and Code Delays
On February 24, I purchased a Stitch toy from Miniso as a gift for my niece. On March 6, I submitted a return request via Miniso's website to return the item, but no return code was provided to me. I was then told that I had to write to their WhatsApp support line to obtain a return code. Since it was the weekend, I received no response despite writing to the WhatsApp line.
On Monday, March 9, they responded on WhatsApp asking for a photo of the product. I stated that they had no right to demand this and that I did not have the product with me; only after I insisted did they finally share the return code. Afterwards, I requested a courier pickup via the website of Aras Cargo, Miniso's contracted carrier, but the courier never arrived, and because I work, I had no opportunity to go to the drop-off branch. I dealt with Aras Cargo over this issue for about a week.
Today, I was informed that because the one-week validity of the return code expired and 14 days have passed, they will not accept the returned item even if it reaches them. When I spoke with customer service, they offered no help whatsoever. I believe that Miniso's choice to work with Aras Cargo and their policy of making return processes (return code issuance, courier requests, etc.) so difficult is entirely the company's responsibility.
Despite exercising due care throughout this entire process, I request that my return request be re-evaluated without causing hardship due to the disruptions experienced, and that my product return be unconditionally accepted.
