MEXC Wrong Memo Caused My 390 XRP Transfer To Another User’s Account
Today around 11:00 AM, I transferred 390 XRP from my Binance Global account to my MEXC account. Unfortunately, I entered the wrong memo, which caused the coins to be credited to another MEXC user’s account instead of mine.
As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately contacted MEXC live support. After reviewing the transaction, they confirmed that my XRP was received by another user. I was then informed that the assets were frozen for 48 hours and that I must file a report with law enforcement within this period. If no official report is filed, the freeze would be lifted, and the funds would be released to the other user.
My request is simple: I ask that the XRP remain frozen until the rightful return is arranged, rather than automatically releasing it after 48 hours. This was a genuine mistake, and I have never experienced such an issue before. I only want to ensure the process is handled fairly and securely.
I have all transaction receipts and screenshots as proof and am writing from Kırıkkale. I expect MEXC to take my situation seriously and help secure the return of my 390 XRP without leaving me at risk of losing my funds due to a procedural deadline.
