Poor Service and Hidden Fees While Purchasing Hoover Dryer at Media Markt

I visited a Media Markt store to purchase a Hoover dryer, knowing the exact model I wanted. Despite seeing me, the sales consultants didn’t assist until I called them over. The consultant quickly processed my purchase without much effort, but failed to mention that there would be an additional delivery fee. I only found out when making the payment at the checkout.

The same consultant assured me that purchases over ₺15,000 would qualify for six installment payments. However, the cashier seemed uncertain and processed my payment incorrectly. While leaving the store, the alarm sounded, and I had to return to the cashier. At that point, they informed me that they needed to cancel and reprocess my payment, limiting it to three or four installments instead. Frustrated with the disorganized and unprofessional service, I canceled the entire transaction and left the store.

Even the manager, who eventually intervened, was uninterested and lacked expertise, as did the rest of the staff. This is not the first time I’ve experienced delays and poor service at Media Markt. I’ve decided to stop shopping with them entirely, as I cannot tolerate the disrespect and lack of customer care they exhibit. I expect Media Markt to improve its processes and staff training.
