I purchased the Maybelline Vinyl Ink Super Stay lipstick from Gratis after seeing it go viral online and promoted everywhere. It’s a high-priced product, heavily marketed for its long wear and no-transfer formula. But unfortunately, it completely fails to live up to the hype.
First, the color in the packaging looks nothing like what comes out. Second, it absolutely transfers, contrary to what the brand promises. But worst of all, the texture is incredibly sticky—like resin. It leaves a glue-like film on your lips that doesn’t go away even after wiping it off. Sure, it’s long-lasting—but in the worst way possible. I found myself wishing it wasn't so “long-wear” because the tacky, uncomfortable texture just wouldn’t budge.
There was no tester available in the store, so I couldn’t try it beforehand. And now that the product is opened, I’m told I can’t return it. In the end, I feel like I threw my money away.
I’m requesting a full refund from Maybelline. This lipstick does not perform as advertised and causes serious discomfort. A product this expensive should offer quality—not frustration.
