I purchased several La Roche-Posay products from Dermoeczanem, including Pure Vitamin C10 Serum, Hyalu B5 Serum, Toleriane Sensitive Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin, and Anthelios UV Air SPF 50+ Sunscreen. I introduced the products to my routine gradually and one at a time:
Hyalu B5 Serum and Toleriane Cream on September 20,
Anthelios Sunscreen on September 26,
Pure Vitamin C10 Serum on October 1 (once a week initially, then more frequently).
After about 20 days of consistent use, I noticed a significant increase in fine facial hair, as well as existing hair becoming lighter and longer. I have no hormonal issues and did not use any other skincare or medical treatments during this period. Apart from the unwanted hair growth, I did not experience any irritation or other side effects. Once the issue appeared, I stopped using all products immediately.
When I contacted La Roche-Posay customer service, I was told only to consult a dermatologist, and that the products are dermatologically tested with no similar complaints reported. This explanation was not satisfactory to me. Since I can no longer use these products and I paid a significant amount of money, I am requesting a full refund.
Here is what I paid:
₺3,841 for the B5 and C10 serums,
₺1,328 for the moisturizers,
₺699 for the sunscreen.
I also have two unopened products — Retinol Serum (₺2,074) and Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid (₺418) — that I have not used due to concern about the same issue. While I no longer have the invoices, I still have the boxes and products, and the order details are saved in my account on the Dermoeczanem website.
I kindly request that La Roche-Posay review my refund claim and provide a clear, detailed explanation regarding this unusual side effect.
