IndiGo Airlines Neglect Left My Duty-Free Package Unretrieved
During my Istanbul to New Delhi connecting flight with IndiGo Airlines, I accidentally left my duty-free package on the plane due to a flight attendant's carelessness. Within 10 minutes, I tried to return to retrieve it, but the aircraft door was already locked. I informed the ground staff, who assured me the package would be delivered to my next flight. However, upon boarding, the package was nowhere to be found.
I inquired with both the flight attendants and ground staff, and they claimed to be handling it. Despite their assurances, the package didn’t arrive on the flight or at the destination airport. I contacted another ground staff member who promised to speak with a representative in India and provided a contact number. Despite multiple follow-ups via email, I received a curt response from an Indian representative stating that the package was my responsibility and, per their rules, there was nothing they could do.
To add to my frustration, I was charged again for an in-flight meal on the Istanbul-Delhi leg, despite having already paid for it. IndiGo Airlines' lack of accountability and customer service is appalling. I will never use this unreliable airline again.
