Beymen Refused My Tax Refund and Sold Me a Defective Designer Bag

On September 30, I purchased a Bottega Veneta bag and a pair of jeans from the Beymen store at İstinyePark. Before completing my purchase, I specifically asked about the tax-free shopping procedure because I am a Romanian citizen visiting Turkey as a tourist. The staff explicitly told me that I was not eligible for a tax refund because of my Romanian nationality. Based on this information, I proceeded with the purchase. However, I later discovered that this information was incorrect and that I should not have been denied a tax refund simply because of my nationality. I feel misled by the Beymen staff and extremely frustrated because I relied on their advice when making my purchasing decision. I have already emailed Beymen regarding this matter, but I have yet to receive a response.

Furthermore, after just two days of use, the edges of the Bottega Veneta bag I purchased for approximately $2,361 began peeling. I contacted Bottega Veneta customer service about the defect, and they advised me to follow up with Beymen as well, since the bag was purchased from your store. I am attaching photographs clearly showing the damage to the edges of the bag, along with my original invoice and payment receipt. This experience has seriously undermined my confidence in both the product's quality and the customer service I received.

I kindly request that Beymen ensure my tax refund is processed correctly and that my rights as a tourist are fully respected. I also expect your full assistance in resolving the issue with the defective Bottega Veneta bag, including an inspection and an appropriate solution, such as a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with your policies. I expect a clear written response and a prompt resolution to both the tax refund issue and the defective product complaint.
