IKEA Refused to Replace My Defective OXBERG Door Despite Consumer Rights Law

To Whom It May Concern at IKEA, I purchased an OXBERG bookcase door from your IKEA Ümraniye branch in Istanbul, Turkey, on December 11, 2024. I was only recently able to assemble the product, just three days ago. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the item was damaged. I have photographic evidence showing that the damage was present when the box was first opened. When I contacted your customer service in Turkey, I was informed that no assistance could be provided due to the fact that more than one month had passed since the purchase date. However, according to Turkish consumer protection law (Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers, Articles 8 and 11), this product qualifies as a “defective good.” Under this law, I am entitled to exercise my consumer rights for a period of two years from the date of purchase. In this context, I am formally requesting a free replacement of the defective product and for it to be shipped to me at no cost. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
