Despite Court Order, IKEA Failed to Supply Replacement Lamp Part
I bought two desk lamps from IKEA's online store with the product code 804.044.22. Before a year had passed, one of the lamps already had a broken part. I asked IKEA to send me the replacement part so I could keep using the lamp since it wouldn't work without it. Even though the warranty was for two years, IKEA wasn't able to give me the part within the first year, so I went to the Bakırkoy Consumer Court. After a long trial, the court ruled in my favor, but IKEA has been taking months or even years to send me the replacement part because they only have the 805.167.78 product code lamp. IKEA said they would give me a replacement lamp, but they still haven't, and their customer service hasn't been very good. The replacement lamp they gave me is 30 Turkish liras cheaper than the one I bought, and they won't give me the one I actually bought. Even though the product is still listed as being in stock at the IKEA store in Kartal, they won't send it to me or even let me pick it up myself. Because of what IKEA has done, I no longer respect or trust the company. As a consumer, it's my job to warn other people about what happened to me, and I won't be afraid to go to court again if I have to.
