Hertz UK (Oxford) Hasn’t Refunded My £200 Deposit After 20+ Days!



On January 14, I rented a car from Hertz in Oxford, UK, for one day. When picking up the vehicle, a £200 deposit was charged to my TEB Bank account. I returned the car without any issues the next day, and when I asked about the deposit refund, I was told it would be processed within 3-5 business days.
However, over 20 days have passed, and I still haven’t received my refund. When I contacted Hertz, they claimed the deposit had been refunded to my bank, but when I checked with TEB Bank, they confirmed no refund was processed. I reached out to Hertz again, but they have not responded.
I do not care whether Hertz or TEB Bank is responsible—I just want my £200 returned. If my refund is not processed within a week, I will take legal action. Hertz, resolve this immediately!
The Hertz company didn't even bother to contact me. I guess I will pursue legal action.
