Unauthorized Google Play Charge: Seeking Refund for Monthly Reading App



On October 26, 2022, I discovered an unexpected 214.99 TL deduction on my mobile phone bill, which was linked to the "Monthly Reading" app on Google Play. I was surprised because I had never installed or authorized this app. A month later, when I realized my error, I immediately contacted Google Play support to report the unauthorized charge and request a refund. Unfortunately, despite numerous follow-ups, the problem has gone unresolved for an incredible 8 months. It's frustrating to deal with the company's lack of responsiveness. I've explained repeatedly that I never made this purchase and should not be held liable for the charge. However, my efforts have gone unanswered, and the amount is still being deducted from my phone bill unfairly. I hereby demand that Google Play take this matter seriously and refund the 214.99 TL they incorrectly charged to my phone bill as soon as possible. As a loyal customer, I expect the company to be accountable and to provide the customer service I deserve. It is unacceptable to keep customers in the dark and deny them their rightful refund for a charge they did not authorize.
I am expecting an explanation from you and I want the unjustly charged amount of 214.99 TL, which has been reflected on my mobile phone bill, to be refunded.
Google Pay representative, I am still waiting to hear from you. How indifferent you turned out to be. I am astonished. Have you stooped this low? Shame on you.
