Flydubai Blocked My Ticket Cancellation and Ignored My Emails for a Week
I purchased three Dubai tickets from Flydubai for my mother, father, and myself. These were refundable tickets. Two weeks ago, due to work reasons, I wanted to cancel my own ticket. However, I was designated as the “primary person,” which meant I could cancel the other two tickets but not my own.
I tried to reach customer service by phone, but I couldn’t get through to anyone. I then sent an email, and they said they would respond within 96 hours. However, even after 168 hours, I still received no reply. There was not a single person I could reach to ask questions or get help.
As the travel date approached, I was unable to use my cancellation right that was promised when I purchased the tickets. I finally managed to cancel my ticket today, but I was charged a penalty and did not receive a full refund.
