My FedEx Package Stuck in Customs with Conflicting Information

On August 22, 2024, the status of my package was updated, stating that it was "on the way." However, when I called FedEx, they told me to send an email for more details. After emailing, I was informed that my package was actually held at customs. To make matters worse, the barcode system was manually entered, which is unheard of for any reputable company. I can't understand if they're dragging this out to make more money or if it's just pure incompetence. Is such a lack of coordination even possible? We already spoke with the customs broker and sent all the necessary documents, yet we're facing this issue. It’s truly disappointing. It seems this is happening because I didn't use the customs broker FedEx recommended.
