FedEx Customs Hold In Istanbul - Excessive Broker Fee Problem
I shipped a package from China with FedEx, with a total value of $123 and it has been held at customs since November 3, 2025. During this entire period, I have not received any clear information or guidance from FedEx regarding the customs process. If I am required to pay taxes, I am ready to pay them, as long as the process is carried out transparently and smoothly, but no one has explained what I need to do. Despite calling FedEx customer service many times about my shipment with tracking number 885704403430, I did not receive any concrete support, and I was simply directed to a customs broker. The broker then requested $350 just for the transaction. It is extremely upsetting and unfair for a broker to demand a fee even higher than the tax that will be collected by the government. FedEx has not taken responsibility for this shipment to Istanbul and has left me alone with an intermediary that demands an excessive fee instead of producing a reasonable and transparent solution. I chose and trusted FedEx, but this experience has seriously disappointed me and put me in a difficult position. I request that my customs process for this shipment be managed directly and transparently by FedEx or through a fair and reasonable solution, without being forced to pay disproportionate brokerage fees, and that my shipment be delivered to me as soon as possible.
