Europcar Charged for Unjustified Damage Without My Consent

On December 14, 2024, at Istanbul Airport, I collected a rental car from Europcar that I had reserved on December 13, 2024. Upon pick-up, I was told my reserved vehicle was unavailable, and I was given a car from a different segment instead. When I returned the vehicle on December 15, 2024, the staff inspecting it mentioned a supposed stone chip on the windshield but seemed unsure. They assured me that exit photos of the vehicle would be reviewed and I would be informed.

Despite this, no clear damage report was documented at the time, and my signature was later accompanied by an unauthorized note regarding the alleged damage. To my shock, Europcar charged ₺12,000 to my credit card without notifying me. This is completely unacceptable, and I will be pursuing this matter through legal channels to ensure justice is served and the unauthorized charge is reversed. Europcar must address this issue immediately.
