Emirates Damaged My Suitcase During Zurich To India Flight

I travelled with Emirates on 10 May 2026 from Zurich to India via Dubai on flights EK88 and EK510. When I arrived and collected my baggage, I discovered on 11 May at around 11:00 a.m. that my suitcase was seriously damaged. The handle was broken, the logo was destroyed, and the body of the suitcase was visibly damaged. My complaint concerns only the condition of the suitcase itself; there were no valuables or specific items inside that were affected. I had purchased this suitcase about one year ago for approximately Rs 5,800, and it was in good, usable condition before this flight. I did not make a damage report at the airport, and I have not yet contacted Emirates customer service about this issue. My e‑ticket number for this trip is 1765805951250-251. Due to the damage caused during the flight, I am requesting financial compensation for my suitcase in line with Emirates’ baggage damage rules and applicable regulations. I kindly ask you to review my case and inform me about the compensation process and the next steps.
