MediaMarkt Refused My Return for the Faulty Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner
I bought an upright vacuum cleaner on 18.08.2024 from the Media Markt store in Kentpark AVM, Ankara. The model I chose was EP81U25ULT PNC: 900 402 027 and it came in a stylish mahogany bronze color. Unfortunately, after the initial use, I discovered that the vacuum did not live up to the features that were promised by the salesperson. Additionally, I have some concerns about potential technical service problems in the country. I've decided to return the product, but unfortunately, Media Markt has declined my request for a return. I'm annoyed that I'm dealing with this problem, especially since I decided to keep the product even though the box was in poor condition. I kindly ask Media Markt to address this matter promptly and process my return before the return period ends. I cannot be held legally responsible for any delays caused by this situation.
Electrolux says they cannot take back a product I wanted to return just 1 day later because it is not faulty. As a consumer in Turkey, we pay the same amount for a European-made product but cannot claim any rights. This is a very serious violation of rights against the citizens of this country. We can even return clothes we buy from the market, but you cannot return a product worth 25,000 lira the next day. We are being treated like a third-world country. I believe no issue can be resolved with the company. How supportive will the Consumer Arbitration Committee be for us?
