I’ve been using my Dyson V15 cordless vacuum for about 2.5 years, and just recently, the upholstery tool—the one designed for cleaning under furniture—snapped without warning. I have no idea how or why this happened. It wasn’t misused or forced in any way. I expected higher durability from a premium product like this.

When I reached out to Dyson customer service, all they told me was that my warranty had expired and I could purchase a replacement part. That was it—no empathy, no explanation, no support. I was genuinely shocked that a simple attachment could break after such a short period, especially considering how expensive this vacuum is.

Is Dyson seriously expecting customers to repurchase expensive accessories every two years? That’s unacceptable for a brand that prides itself on quality. If I wanted to constantly replace parts, I could’ve chosen a cheaper brand. I’m frustrated and disappointed. Dyson needs to acknowledge this issue and offer a solution—either replace the broken part as a goodwill gesture or improve the quality of these components. I bought Dyson for the long-term value, not for recurring expenses.
