Even though we have a paid annual Disney+ subscription, we are extremely dissatisfied with the constant ads that appear while using the platform. We do not expect to see advertisements on a service we pay for, and when purchasing the subscription, we were not clearly informed or asked to approve an “ad-supported” experience. I believe the pricing and subscription policy should be transparent and clearly communicated to users.
My family and I use Disney+ on both our TV and computer, and we experience the same issues on every device. The ads themselves are also very low in quality, both in content and presentation. In addition, the overall viewing experience on the platform is highly problematic. While we do not experience any freezing, buffering, or lag on other streaming platforms or internet-based applications under the same conditions, Disney+ frequently freezes, stutters, and has noticeable delays—almost on every piece of content.
There are constant performance issues when browsing content, clicking titles, switching episodes, and during playback. On top of that, subtitle styles and other video or subtitle settings are automatically reset with every video transition, forcing us to reconfigure them each time, which makes the platform very difficult to use. While we enjoy a smooth experience on other platforms under the same conditions, dealing with such basic issues on Disney+ significantly reduces our desire to continue the subscription. We are only maintaining our subscription because we like some of the content available; however, continuing under these conditions is becoming very difficult.
I am requesting an ad-free, uninterrupted, and stable viewing experience, a clear and upfront policy regarding advertisements, the resolution of the ongoing technical performance issues, and necessary changes to ensure that subtitle and player settings are not reset every time a video changes.
