Daikin MC30Y Air Purifier Bad Odor - Not Cleaning Air
I purchased a Daikin MC30Y air purifier in August 2025 for 9,490₺ to use especially in our bedroom at night, as both my spouse and I have asthma. Unfortunately, the device started to emit a bad odor about two months after purchase and obviously does not clean the air as expected. For the last three months, this bad odor and ineffective air cleaning have been continuously ongoing. I took the device to Daikin technical service and explained the situation in detail. The service stated that the bad odor was caused by the filter and claimed that this could happen if someone cooked in the kitchen or smoked beside the device. I clearly stated that we only use the device in our bedroom at night and that there is no cooking or smoking in that room, but despite this, the technical service concluded that the problem was customer-related and did not perform any operation on the device. As a user who chose this product specifically for health reasons, I am very dissatisfied that a device purchased for air purification emits bad odor and does not clean the air, and that the problem is attributed to the customer without any effective solution. I request that my Daikin MC30Y air purifier be taken back and that a refund be issued, as the device does not fulfill its basic function and causes discomfort instead of improving air quality.
