Philips Air Purifier Faulty Filter and Unhelpful Service
I bought the Philips AC3033/10 air cleaner from Media Markt on October 10, 2022. To my surprise, after a year of using the device, it started giving off a bad smell every time it was turned on. When I looked at the filter, I noticed that it had an oddly sour and unpleasant smell. I called the Philips Bursa service center hoping that the warranty would cover the problem. But their answer was by no means good enough. They said that the warranty didn't cover the filters and insisted that I should buy a new one. Also, they treated me badly, which made me feel like I was to blame for the poor quality of the filter. We don't smoke or fry things in our house, and we're careful with the filter. The app for the product shows that the filter still has 82% of its life left. If you spend 2,000 TL on an air purifier, you shouldn't have to buy a new filter every year. Media Markt should talk about this problem and come up with a good solution.
