On July 20, 2024, I had a scheduled Corendon flight from Cologne to Zonguldak at 6:00 AM. The flight ended up being delayed by nearly 5 hours. What made it worse was that there was no notification of any delay—nothing in the app, no alerts at the airport. After we finally boarded, they announced that we’d have to wait another 1.5 hours inside the plane.
After the trip, I contacted Corendon to request compensation. They dismissed my claim, saying the delay was due to “weather conditions.” Even after my lawyer got involved and sent formal letters, they kept giving the same excuse to dodge responsibility.
I wasn’t even aware I had rights in such delays—but now I do, and I won’t give up. I’m ready to take this to court if necessary. I work all year as a single parent just to afford a holiday with my children. This experience was unacceptable. I’ll never fly Corendon again and I’ll warn everyone I know to avoid them.
