I Face Unexplained €40 Charge From Carjet Five Months After Returning My Rental Car in France

Five months ago, I rented an electric MG model through Carjet at Marseille Airport, France. However, instead of the MG I reserved, I was given a Renault Megane electric vehicle. I used the car for 12 days without any issues and returned it in perfect condition. During drop-off, I was explicitly told that there were no damages, parking tickets, or traffic fines, and no additional charges were mentioned.
After returning to my home country five months later, I discovered that €40 had been withdrawn from my account without any notice or proof. Although the contract stated that a €40 fee could be charged if a fine was issued, I never received any notification or official document showing that such a fine existed. When I contacted Carjet customer service, they simply replied that the charge was for a fine, but they provided no supporting evidence or documentation.
I strongly object to this unauthorized deduction, especially since I returned the car in excellent condition and no fines or violations were reported at the time. I demand a full refund of the €40 and an official explanation supported by proper evidence.
