Carjet Refused Refund After Denying Car Pickup Due to Missing Credit Card
I booked a 23-day car rental through Carjet and paid a €288 deposit using my debit card. However, when I arrived at the airport to collect the car, I was told that only credit cards were accepted, and the vehicle was not handed over.
This requirement was not clearly stated during the booking process. If I had known that a credit card was mandatory, I would never have made the reservation. Despite the fact that I never received or used the vehicle, Carjet still kept the €288 payment.
When I contacted customer service, they simply referred to their credit card policy and refused to issue a refund. I find this situation unfair and misleading. For a company of Carjet’s size and reputation, I expected clearer communication and a more customer-oriented solution.
I request the immediate refund of my €288 payment, as no service was provided and the credit card requirement was not transparently disclosed during booking.
