Bosch Refrigerator Fails After 8 Years – Unreasonable Replacement Offer

In 2016, I purchased a Bosch refrigerator for our new home, trusting in its quality, durability, and reliability. During this time, we moved once, and we used the refrigerator as one normally would in a household. However, after 8 years, it stopped cooling. We called for service, and they informed us that it was beyond repair. A few days later, the authorized service contacted us with a replacement offer.

So far, everything was as it should be, but the price they offered was nothing short of insulting. They proposed a price of ₺40,000 for a refrigerator that costs ₺53,000. When asked why I should spend ₺40,000 on another Bosch refrigerator, they had no logical answer. I initially paid extra for this brand due to its perceived reputation. However, their highly praised 10-year durability claim has completely failed.

I haven't seen anyone else in my circle with a refrigerator from another brand that became useless within 10 years. My Bosch refrigerator became a waste after just 8 years. If I were to keep this refrigerator for 15-20 years and then replace it when it broke down, the price they're demanding now would be understandable. However, they're demanding this amount due to a defect that doesn't align with their own policies.

Bosch is no longer a brand that stands for durability, customer satisfaction, or reliability. Other consumers should be aware of this. If your Bosch refrigerator or any other product breaks down within a few years, don't worry—you can skip using a longer-lasting, more affordable product and instead pay an inflated price for a slightly discounted new Bosch product. This way, you can regularly experience the latest in trash technology from Bosch.

For those considering purchasing home appliances, beware: Trust in brands is a thing of the past. Buy the product that best fits your budget. Bosch is no longer a German brand but one managed with a local mentality. At least, when you face issues, you'll be less financially burdened. (Note: The details shared here are recorded in the customer service logs, and all procedures were carried out by the authorized service. Pictures of the refrigerator will be attached.)

The Bosch brand has created even more problems with its developments. It showed that the brand is managed in Turkey with a completely Middle Eastern mentality. Unbelievable! First, I found out that the refrigerator they offered me a discount (!) on, which was supposedly 53,000 TL, was already being sold for 41,000 TL. Later, when I conveyed this to the customer representative, they offered me a bit more discount. However, the person I spoke to was probably the owner of the company. A lady named Rabia spoke in a very condescending and arrogant manner, saying things like "take it if you want, if not, stop bothering," showing how Middle Eastern the company's approach to customers is. In today's commercial world, there were a few trustworthy brands, and Bosch has lost that trust in my eyes by tarnishing its name. I am warning my circle about this and will continue to do so. Let everyone hear this through this platform as well. The takeaway from this is that buying a refrigerator is a matter of luck; if it turns out good, it's good, if it turns out bad, it's bad. The brand doesn't matter. Every brand and company is the same before and after the sale. Don't pay extra for any brand and end up disappointed. At least for Bosch, it's definitely not worth it. Note: The broken part is entirely due to the brand. The electrical circuit has oxidized due to a gas leak. I have attached a picture. It is not a user error. They can neither repair nor provide parts for an 8-year-old refrigerator.
