Refund And Goodwill Credit From Booking.com

I made a reservation through Booking.com for Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Farmers Branch, TX, USA, for the dates 05/03/2026 to 05/04/2026 under the Booking.com reservation number 5367878310. For this stay, my credit card was charged $157.29 by Booking.com. In addition, the hotel also charged me separately at the property, even though Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Farmers Branch accepts payment directly from the customer. As a result, I have been double-charged for the same stay. I paid the hotel directly by credit card, and the hotel charge was approximately $158. I did not realize the double charge immediately while at the hotel, so I did not speak to the front desk at that time. After discovering the issue, I contacted the hotel and was informed that I needed to take this up with Booking.com. I then tried to contact Booking.com customer service but was not able to reach a human representative and could not resolve the issue. I am requesting that Booking.com issue a full refund of $157.29 to my credit card for the amount paid to Booking.com, since the hotel also charged me directly for the same stay. In addition, I would like written confirmation that this refund has been processed, and, given the inconvenience and the time I have spent trying to resolve this, I kindly request some form of future credit with Booking.com, for example $50, as a goodwill gesture.
