Booking.com Overcharge Dispute – Extended Stay America Not Issuing Refund

April 5 12:19 AM73

I stayed at Extended Stay America Suites – Fort Worth – City View from 01/04/2026 to 01/09/2026 and have been dealing with an unresolved double charge for almost three months. For the stay, an amount of $375.83 was charged twice, once by Booking.com and once by Extended Stay America, and both charges appeared on my credit card statement for the same stay. The charge in question was processed on 01/04/2026 at around 20:00 to my card ending in 8003. As soon as I noticed the duplicate charge, I contacted my credit card company, but they informed me that since the transactions had already been completed, I needed to resolve the matter directly with the company. I then contacted the Fort Worth City View hotel and spoke with staff and management about the double charge. However, the manager refused to take responsibility for correcting the mistake and stated that the other party should handle the refund. Since then, I have been left without a resolution or proper follow‑up, despite my attempts to get this corrected. I am formally requesting that the duplicate charge of $375.83 be fully refunded to my card ending in 8003 and that I receive written confirmation of the refund and closure of this issue. I also request a clear explanation of how this double billing occurred and why it has taken so long to address. I expect this matter to be handled urgently and that I be contacted back promptly so this ongoing problem can finally be resolved.
