Need Refund Due To Cancellation Being Done Before Date Of Charge - Booking.com
I made a refundable reservation through Booking.com for Motel 6 on Pan American Freeway NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with confirmation number 5631633***. I later canceled this reservation on 06/11/2026 within the allowed free cancellation period and did not stay at the property at all. The total amount I am expecting back is a full refund of $78.47, as well as the $8 travel protection I purchased during the booking. Booking.com has sent a notification that the refund has been initiated, but I have not received clear information or any proper confirmation about when and how the full amount will be refunded. My main issue is with Booking.com’s customer service. I have tried several times to reach a real person, and on the few occasions when my calls went through, I was either put on hold for a very long time or simply disconnected. My questions about whether my full refund, including the travel protection, will actually be processed have not been answered, and I am left without any reliable information or assurance. I kindly request that my full refund of $78.47, plus the $8 travel protection, be processed as soon as possible and that I receive written confirmation of the completed refund. I also expect Booking.com to review how my customer service calls were handled, as being repeatedly hung up on while trying to resolve a legitimate refund issue is unacceptable.
