I Was Left Stranded After My Booking.com Hotel Was Empty

I made a reservation through Booking.com for the dates between July 2–7, 2025. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one there. I called the contact number listed on Booking.com multiple times, and eventually a woman answered, saying they no longer work with Booking.com. I then tried to reach Booking.com but couldn’t get through. I’ve been severely inconvenienced—hotels are fully booked and extremely expensive due to the season. On top of that, I can’t cancel the existing reservation. Your irresponsibility left me stranded. If you’re no longer partnered with Booking.com, why did you approve the reservation? After a 20-hour trip in the heat, this is the hardship you put me through. Please be informed that I will pursue legal action to the fullest extent.

I was only able to reach Booking with great difficulty from an international number. They said they would solve the problem. They promised to find a new hotel with the same price and conditions. Then they emailed me saying that I had to find the hotel myself and that they could pay a maximum difference of 55 euros. Of course, I did not accept this. Currently, due to the season, daily room prices here are 80-90 euros. The fact that I have been dealing with this and searching for a hotel for 3.5 hours is another issue. I really did not expect this much. I am truly suffering.

There has been no progress. Booking did not resolve my grievance.
