I Was Charged 636.16€ by BKG Hotel at Booking.com Amsterdam Without Approval

On July 9, 2025, at 7:35 PM, my credit card was charged 636.16€ by “bkg Hotel at Booking c Amsterdam nl” without any prior approval or confirmation message. I immediately contacted my bank’s customer service to question how this charge was processed without my consent. The bank representative told me that if the company is considered reliable, they don’t always require explicit approval. This doesn’t make sense, especially since I booked flights with A Jet and Pegasus in June and July, and those transactions required mobile approval codes without fail.

When I tried to dispute the charge through the bank’s online dispute menu, I couldn’t because my account is currently on hold. I’ve reported this both verbally and in writing to İş Bankası, clearly stating that I did not authorize this payment and am a victim of unauthorized billing. I am now waiting for a resolution and expect a full refund immediately. Booking.com and the hotel must take responsibility and fix this issue quickly.
