I booked a 4-night stay at Tokyo Nishishinjuku Gochome Eki Tower through Booking.com for two people in a non-view room with breakfast, paying ¥35,000 per night. I made the reservation months in advance, expecting to benefit from early booking prices. However, I’ve now discovered that this was a complete waste of money.
When I checked prices for the exact same dates now, I was shocked to see that even a better room with a view and breakfast included is available for just ¥26,600 per night—significantly cheaper than what I paid. How does this make any sense? Why should customers be penalized for booking early?
Booking.com constantly promotes “book early to save,” yet I’ve clearly been overcharged for an inferior room. I am requesting a price match refund immediately. This pricing policy is misleading and unfair. If prices drop closer to the date, what incentive do customers have to commit early? Booking.com, you need to fix this by refunding the difference, or I will escalate this complaint to consumer rights authorities.
